Oigawa Railway
Oigawa Railway is a railway company that operates in Shizuoka Prefecture, and operates two lines: the Oigawa Main Line and the Ikawa Line (Southern Alps Abt Line). The Oigawa Main Line connects Kanaya Station to Senzu Station, and the Ikawa Line connects Senzu Station to Ikawa Station. In particular, the Abt system section of the Ikawa Line is known as the only place in Japan where Abt system trains operate.
Due to the impact of Typhoon Hagibis in September 2022, the line between Ieyama and Senzu stations is partially closed. The section between Ieyama and Kawane Onsen Sasamado Station (2.9 km) reopened in October 2023, but the section between Kawane Onsen Sasamado and Senzu Station remains closed. The aim is to restore the entire line by 2029.
