A 2’6″ (762 mm) gauge electric locomotive of the Kurobe Canyon Railway at its line
end Keyakidaira station deep in a mountain. Its origin dates back to an
industrial railway built in 1926 to transport materials for dam construction
in the vicinity.

Dual voltage EMU 489 series set in its old JNR livery in Hakutaka service
between Kanazawa on the Hokuriku Main Line and Echigo-Yuzawa on the Joetsu
Line via Hokuetsu Express Railway.
