Expo Liner for Expo 2025 Osaka
Expo 2025, officially known as Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, is a global exposition currently being held in Osaka from April 13th to October 13th. The event is showcasing cutting-edge technologies, cultural exchanges, and collaborative solutions for global challenges.
The Expoliner is a special rapid service train operated by JR West to enhance access to the Expo. It runs from Shin-Osaka Station to Sakurajima Station, via Osaka Station (Umekita underground platform) and Universal City Station, and can be accessed without transfers.

JR West 323 series train. This “Expoliner” is a rare train that runs directly between the Umeda Freight Line and the Sakurajima Line. The 323 series on the Osaka Loop Line does not usually enter Shin-Osaka Station, but it has been appearing at Shin-Osaka Station since March 15th. Photo taken on May 4th at Shin-Osaka station.

“JR WEST Parade Train” – Two front cars of the 323-series train sets have been modified and wrapped in a parade theme, with LED panels installed inside the carriages. While the train is in motion, the scenery outside is projected in real time, and AR technology is used to heighten anticipation for the Expo. Photo taken on June 25th at Sakurajima station.
To get to the Expo venue, transfer to the shuttle bus bound for the west exit of the venue at Sakurajima Station if you take JR line. Advance reservations are required.
Yumeshima Station is a station on the Osaka Metro Chuo Line located in Yumeshima, Konohana Ward, Osaka City. It is opened on January 19, 2025, and is attracting attention as an access point to the Osaka-Kansai Expo site. The station building features an origami-inspired ceiling design and a large space without a central pillar.
