JR Freight’s newest version of freight-hauling AC-driven locomotive, type EF-210, in switching (shunting) operation at Hamakawasaki Yard. Being first built in in 1996, the EF-210s are gradually superseding obsolete EF65s on the Tokaido and Sanyo Main Lines. The number 901 represents that this locomotive is the prototype of the class.
