Type 0 and 100 series shinkansen cars can be seen under maintenance at JR Tokai’s workshops at Hamamatsu while an open day was taking place . The original 0 series cars started operation in 1964, while 100 series cars followed from 1985.
A double-decker type 100 shinkansen car could be seen under maintenance at the Hamamatsu workshops. The double-decker cars offered green car and small group provision as well as catering options.
