A vintage streamlined electric locomotive EF511, built in the 1930s. The EF551 has been preserved in working order at Takasaki depot since it was fully restored in 1986. This locomotive was a star on the Tokaido Main Line before World War II, working for limited express hauling.

Series 113 in the Tokaido local service with Mt. Fuji in the background at a point between Yui and Okitsu, about 150 km southwest of Tokyo. This is the only point on the Tokaido Main Line where Mt. Fuji is visible out of the eastern windows of the train.

Enoden 354 street running on in FujisawaEnoshima Electric Railway type 300, #354 built in 1931, on a street running section near Enoshima in Fujisawa city, about 40 km southwest of Tokyo. The train was reformed in 1991 when its interior was renovated, the trucks were replaced and air conditioners were installed.

An old ex-national railway type tower at JR Nagoya station. This tower seemingly is unmanned. The reason why the tower is kept remained is not known. Modern series 85 DMUs in Toyama-link limited express service busily pass by the tower.

A manned tower at Shin-Gifu terminal on Nagoya Railway, a private railway covering the Nagoya area. Manned towers locally governing station traffic with relay interlocking are still common on this railway.
